REX INDUSTRIES CO., LTD.
On 1st August, 1925, our founder, Sakujiro Miyagawa, established the Miyagawa Tool Works in Nishi-ku, Osaka. Sakujiro devoted his life to developing plumbing tools and machinery that would match the varied needs and expectations of our customers. This small company was to be the predecessor of our present company, Rex Industries Co., Ltd.
As embodied in our company motto, ‘The Three Benefits,’ it is our belief that a company can only prosper if customers, employees, and society as a whole are all the focus of everything we do. Thus, by ‘Benefits’, we are not simply referring to financial profit or earnings, but to ‘profit’ and ‘benefits’ in a much broader sense.
Sakujiro’s management philosophy was based on the idea that, as a company, "it is meaningless if we can't create something that captures the hearts of customers" and "there’s no point in making great products if they don't sell". We therefore spare no effort when it comes to capturing the hearts of our customers.
THE CORE OF REX INDUSTRIES
Piping installations – gas, water, etc. - that are essential for everyday life.
Product development is one of our primary concerns – products with a wide range of use, including advanced, earthquake-resistant piping installations designed to protect essential ‘lifelines’, such as gas and water supplies, when natural disasters occur.
With REX’ innovative, technological creativity at our core, we manufacture a variety of innovative products under the three themes of Cutting, Connecting and the Environmental Conservation, all the while creating a safe, on-site work environment using our unique technology and creativity to eliminate problems before they happen.
Another important aspect of our product line up is pipe inspection equipment and water management systems designed to keep our lives safe with clean water. To achieve this, for both our customers and society as a whole, REX puts every effort into environmental protection through its product development, manufacturing and marketing. Our aim is to provide you with clean water and a safe environment to pass on to future generations, and to achieve mutual governance, mutual prosperity, and mutual welfare.
Message from our President
It is with great pride that REX Industries will be celebrating its 100th anniversary in August, 2025.
Starting from the domestic production of hand tools, we have dedicated ourselves to the broader development of the plumbing equipment industry. Over these many years, we have become the go-to manufacturer and advisor to major concerns in the municipal gas, construction, and pipe manufacturing industries regarding the development of equipment requiring new methods of piping work. We have worked diligently to develop products in line with their needs and, as a result, we have been able to introduce products to the world that are completely innovative and that have enabled our business to last for so many years.
Although the phrase ʻMade in Japanʼ is well known throughout the world as being synonymous with ʻhigh qualityʼ, the degree of quality required for pipework in the Japanese market, which is particularly prone to earthquakes and natural disasters, is extremely rigorous. Our technological capabilities, responsiveness and know-how, which we have built up in such a demanding environment, are clearly regarded as first class in our industry, and we have garnered the support and admiration of a wide range of customers.
We are keenly aware that our role and mission is "to create working amenities and contribute to the realisation of a prosperous society". ʻWorking Amenityʼ is an expression we coined to express our deep desire to create products that are not only safe, reliable and efficient, but that are both enjoyable to use and create a more comfortable working environment.
This has also led to the creation of our H.A. Division, which is involved in the manufacture of all-weather stable sand, the sale of feed, and equine therapy products as solutions to a variety of demands and challenges in the equine industry. In addition, we have used our original technology to develop high-efficiency oxygen generating equipment targeted at the fish farming market. As a new division, it is already contributing to solving problems faced, in particular, by the eel farming market.
For over half a century, REX Industries has developed its global presence by exporting its products to more than 80 countries. At the same time, we have created manufacturing or distribution networks in U.S.A., China, Thailand and India and we are contributing to local social infrastructure through products tailored to local piping conditions so as to meet varying customer demands in each country and region.
As we move into our second century, we will continue to adhere to the companyʼs motto and management philosophy of ʻThe Three Benefits', namely, we shall work to be of benefit to our customers, our employees and society as a whole.
We shall further enhance our technological capabilities and responsiveness so as to contribute to society at large by improving the working environment - both within and beyond the plumbing industry.

In a spirit of mutual trust, we make every effort to enable each of these three parties to enjoy mutual prosperity and, in the process, we aim to contribute to modern society.
As mentioned above, ‘The Three Benefits’ refer to the benefits for customers, employees, and the wider society.
REX employees work closely together to ensure that all three parties benefit whatever the circumstances.
Employees are encouraged to respect each other in a spirit of mutual compromise and trust, thereby achieving a cooperative work environment.
In turn, this leads to mutual governance, mutual prosperity, and mutual happiness, thereby improving The Three Benefits.

Under our three development policies of originality, excitement, and creativity, we aim to provide the best products for on-site work, and in order to develop products that are relevant to the workers who actually use them, we listen carefully to our customers' feedback and work closely with them.
